PGI Halkidiki

The PGI Halkidiki zone (est.1995) comprises the homonymous district in central Macedonia’s southern section.

In their overwhelming majority the vineyards of Halkidiki lie in the peninsula’s western part, overlooking the
Gulf of Thermaikos. In recent years, the district’s northwestern area has been developing at a brisk pace, in the greater area of Mandemohoria and Arnea in particular. For the time being, there are seven zone wineries producing PGI Halkidiki wines and more are expected to be added.
