The ‘menu’ of the 22nd DETROP International Exhibition of Food – Beverages – Machinery & Equipment and the 4th OENOS International Wine Fair, being held by HELEXPO at Thessaloniki International Exhibition Centre from March 7 to 10, 2013, includes innovative and specialised ways and proposals for promoting Greek foods and beverages in international markets.

Today, DETROP is the only Greek exhibition of its kind, representing the dynamism and extroversion of the top quality domestic production of food and beverages.

Over 100 trade visitors (hosted buyers), who were invited to attend and have confirmed their participation in DETROP, coming from countries such as the United States of America, Germany, Russia, Italy, Sweden, Belgium, and others, will play a central role in the effort of Greek food-beverage industries to export their products.

These international trade visitors will attend pre-arranged business meetings with DETROP & OENOS exhibitors, enabling Greek enterprises to achieve beneficial agreements for the sale of their products either through wholesale or retail networks with greater ease.

The presence of wholesale traders of Greek food – beverages from Germany, the largest such market in Europe, as well as other European markets, at DETROP will be increased compared to that at the previous event.

Within this context, the Association of Overseas Greek Food and Drink Importers (SELETROPE) will also have a broader exhibition presence; at the same time, exhibitor products will be presented and tasting sessions will be held at a central location within DETROP at a specially designed area.

The promotion of Greek gastronomy will be at the centre of DETROP, which will honour olives and olive oil, dairy products, wine, frozen foods and Greek delicatessen products, with a corresponding presence of important exhibitors; a large number of participants will be coming from Crete, as well as Central Macedonia.

The endeavour of HELEXPO to organize the best possible DETROP-OENOS events will be supported by the special associates of the exhibition, oenologist and director of the All About Greek Wine company, Ms. Sofia Perpera, and export marketing advisor, specializing in the German market, Mr. Stavros Tsouroukidis.

The DETROP & OENOS exhibitions are being held under the auspices of the Greek International Business Association (SEVE), the Greek Association of Industries and Processors of Olive Oil (SEVITEL), the National Inter-Professional Organization of Vine and Wine of Greece (EDOAO) and the Wine Producers Association of the Macedonian Vineyard.

Making use of the above data, DETROP provides the most suitable platform for food-beverage enterprises, enabling them to explore the possibilities of increasing their extroversion by participating in the exhibition at attractive prices that are fully adapted to the circumstances and needs of our times. Moreover, the process of pre-registration of trade visitors interested in visiting DETROP & OENOS has already begun.
